Life before Stowe
After winning a Rugby Scholarship to Bedford School, I studied Geography and Town Planning at Newcastle University. After a year with Christians in Sport as an intern I moved to Kingham Hill School as a Pastoral Assistant before completing my PGCE/teacher training with Buckingham University. I moved to Cambridge to work at The Leys as a Geography Teacher and Assistant House Parent. As well as being in the house I coached the 1st XV and 3rd VII Netball.
What do you enjoy most about your subject?
Geography helps us to understand the World that we live in, and therefore it is everywhere! It has to be one of the only subjects where you can somewhat justify looking out of the window. I like how contemporary and relevant it is and how it is always changing.
What do you enjoy most about Stowe?
The setting is staggering! I think our black labrador, Wilbur, enjoys it as much as me. I love the energy about the place, the common room is outrageously friendly and supportive and the Stoic’s themselves, seem excellent value. I was also blown away by the Organ and singing in our first School Chapel.
What is your favourite Lesson?
Not the one just before lunch!
What do others say about you?
Positive and good fun, helpful, kind and caring.
Other hats
Assistant House Parent in Chatham, Coaching Rugby and Crossfire.
Passions
My faith, family and friends, especially when combined with rugby, skiing or the North Norfolk Coast.
