Life before Stowe

I started out as a research scientist, before working at Norwich School.  I then took a break from teaching to run a business for eight years before joining Stowe.

What do you enjoy most about your subject?

That mathematics is such an active 'doing' subject for the pupils, and challenges them to solve difficult and unfamiliar problems.

What do you enjoy most about Stowe?

The breadth of activities and, of course, the environment that we live and work in.

What is your favourite lesson?

One in which an unexpected and unintuitive solution or connection is discovered and explored.

What do others day about you?

Hopefully that I am encouraging for pupils and useful to have around.
