Educated at King's School Worcester, Andrew Reekes won an Open Scholarship in Modern History to Exeter College Oxford. He spent a career in education, heading History departments before becoming Director of Studies and Sub Warden at Radley. He was an ISI inspector for ten years, led HMC/GSA training of senior managers for thirteen years, and lectured for the Industrial Society. He is chairman of governors at Summer Fields, is a governor at King's School Worcester, chairs its Development Trust and Education committee and also belongs to Marlborough College's Education committee. He was awarded an M.Res at Birmingham University in 2014 and has written and published nine books, largely on Nineteenth Century British History, among them Two Titans: Joseph Chamberlain and George Cadbury.
