Life before Stowe

I have worked in education for many years, always teaching, but also in a variety of leadership roles, across a wide variety of schools. I am proud of my breadth of experience which, I hope, has enriched what I have to offer now.

What do you enjoy most about your subject?

I do have a real passion for my subject (Maths) which I like to share with my pupils –I’m a bit of a maths geek! I also love solving problems and maths has a wealth of them!

What do you enjoy most about Stowe?

I love the breadth of opportunities that pupils (and staff) can experience; and the calm, positive climate which pervades.

What is your favourite Lesson?

My favourite lessons are the ones where I can see pupils learning! Sometimes this is in a quiet moment of reflection or a one-to-one discussion over a question and at other times its visible in a ‘eureka’ moment!

What do others say about you?

I hope they would say that I have a positive mindset, am kind, helpful and well organised, but most importantly that I care!

Other hats

I don’t have any other hats at Stowe presently – but maybe in the future.

Passions

My family, walking with my dog, Apple, and gardening are some of my ongoing passions. I have also just taken up bee keeping which is a delight and am learning to wheel throw pots which I love!
