Life before Stowe
I have spent most of my life living on Stowe grounds, but spent three years in Chester where I studied Christian Youth Work for my degree. I have worked in many different sectors including landscape gardening and lab work. I also spent a year working for a pupil referral unit, where my passion for teaching/ education was ignited.
What do you enjoy most about your subject?
I thoroughly enjoy helping pupils with their studies and coming up with ways of engaging them in interesting conversations both in my work as a teaching assistant, and during activities.
What do you enjoy most about Stowe?
I enjoy spending time exploring the grounds and using the facilities provided by the School especially the gym and sports hall.
What is your favourite Lesson?
My favourite lessons are ones where the teaching staff, me included, is able to challenge and engage pupils in conversations where we see their passion for a subject.
What do others say about you?
Probably; “Why is that Sixth Former wearing chinos?” or “Are you really Mr Last’s son?” But I hope that they would say I am a great part of the Stowe staff team, who is engaging and likeable.
I trained as youth worker, so I tend to switch between teaching assistant and youth worker in lessons and on site. I have been known to wear a beanie…
I am passionate about; weight training in the gym, playing and coaching football, playing guitar and my faith.
