The Music Room, which was exquisitely decorated by Vincenzo Valdrè, is truly one of the jewels of Stowe’s interiors. One of the key public rooms of the main mansion under the dukes, this highly decorated room from the 1780s depicts beautiful wall paintings, based on those rediscovered in Pompeii in the 1740s. The central neo-classical ceiling painting and elegant chandelier finishes off this unique 18th century entertaining room. Like all of Stowes State Rooms, it offers wonderful views of the South Front vista.

The Music Room is perfect for intimate dinners and drinks receptions or  wedding ceremonies. Download our Wedding Brochure to find out more information.
