Forming the 'wow' factor at the heart of Stowe House, the stunning Marble Saloon dates from the 1780s and is distinctively recognisable for its oval shape. Creating the centre of the State Rooms, the four doorways in and out point to the four compass points, while the busy frieze above depicts a Roman celebration of victorious battle. Taking its name after the magnificent floor, comprised of over seventy four-foot squares of Massa Carrara marble, the Marble Saloon is Stowe's most breathtaking room and is the perfect space for your event, be it a wedding, dinner, or party.

If you are looking for an event offering grandeur and awe, then this is the space for you. The Saloon doors can remain open throughout your event, offering a magnificent view of the  Octagon Lake and the Corinthian Arch. The adjoining South Portico Terrace is perfect for pre-dinner or post-ceremony drinks.
