Session cookie ("sid")
We also use a session cookie called "sid" (Session ID) which is required to allow users to log in (e.g. to the Parents' Directory).
It is not used to track your actions on the website, and it doesn't contain any personal or sensitive information.
This cookie is deleted automatically when you close your web browser. The related session data (e.g. your user ID) is deleted from the server after approximately 6-8 hours.
Website questionnaire
From time to time we may display a popup questionnaire to collect visitor opinions. We use three cookies to track your response to our website questionnaire:
- questionnaireN_start (records when you first visited the website)
- questionnaireN_later (records the time you clicked the "Maybe Later" button)
- questionnaireN_response (records if you have responded to the questionnaire)
(Where 'N' is a number.)
These are only used to determine whether and when to show you the questionnaire popup, and are not used for tracking or associated with any data we hold.
The "start" cookie is deleted when you close your web browser. The other two cookies are saved for up to 2 years, to avoid prompting you again on repeat visits.
