A Level Results

Since A Level marks were released this morning, our Upper Sixth Form Stoics have been celebrating another set of strong results. Almost one third of all grades achieved this year were an A* or A.

A number of departments are celebrating some outstanding results with Languages doing particularly well and more than 90% of pupils achieving an A* to B grade in Spanish, and 100% in Italian, Latin and Russian.

Stoics studying Design Technology and those studying Art contributed to Stowe’s excellent results yet again with more than 90% of all pupils achieving an A* to B grade. The Science Department has seen some fantastic results, with Biology and Chemistry particularly strong.

We are delighted for our Medics who have achieved the grades they need to access their places at Medical School. It is particularly pleasing that the success of our Medical School candidates continues, as securing offers at Medical School has become one of our real strengths over the last five years.

With the move to the Linear A Level system, not all our Lower Sixth Form Stoics sat AS Levels this year but those who did have been rewarded with some very good results and we look forward to welcoming them back in a few weeks so they can start the second year of their course.

To our Upper Sixth Formers, we wish a very successful onward journey from Stowe. We also express our thanks to the teachers who have supported this year group during their education at the School.
