Sixth Form Admission

Admission into Stowe's Sixth Form is generally subject to four condiditons:

1. A satisfactory report from the candidate’s present school.

2. Attendance at the Sixth Form Entry Day for Interview and to sit Stowe’s Entry papers.

3. A minimum of six GCSE passes at Grade B or above (or the points equivalent).

4. Full disclosure of any health or medical condition, educational need or any behavioural, emotional or social information that could be relevant to school life.

Stage 1

Many families come to our Sixth Form Open Morning in the October before Entry if they are considering Stowe for their Sixth Form option.

Stage 2

If you decide to proceed you enrol and register your child for our Sixth Form Entry Examination Day (held in the November prior to Entry). We will request a confidential report from your child’s current school on receipt of the Enrolment Form.

Stage 3

At the Entry Day candidates sit the required papers and attend interviews with Senior members of School staff.

Stage 4

At the beginning of December, successful candidates will be sent an Acceptance of Place Form. You must then complete and return the form together with payment of a deposit of £1,050 (an Additional Deposit of £10,050 is required where a pupil’s normal residence is outside the UK).

At this stage, deposits will only be returned if the pupil does not qualify academically (i.e. fails to achieve the minimum entry examination grades) or parents are prevented from taking up the place by circumstances which, in the School’s judgement, are beyond their control.
