University applications
Recent Old Stoics who wish to apply to a university are advised to contact the UCAS Applications Tutor (Mr David Critchley, 01280 818168, dcritchley@stowe.co.uk) who can advise on the process. The best time to contact him is in early September.
The periods immediately before the various university entrance deadlines are extremely busy at Stowe, and the school cannot guarantee that last minute requests for references will be processed in time to meet the various deadlines. In order to allow sufficient time for the preparation of references etc. Old Stoics should make contact as follows:-
- Those wishing to apply to Oxford or Cambridge or for medical, veterinary or dentistry places should contact the school by 15th September
- Those to apply to UK universities apart from the above should contact the school by 1st December
- Those wishing to submit an application to a US university by year end should contact the school by 1st December
