Stowe reaches the final in the Aegon Senior Schools Tennis Competition

Having already reached the last 16 of the competition, the girls took on Comberton Village College on Wednesday 27 February to earn a place in the last 8. Sofia Purgina and Marty Fidanova got the singles off to a flying start, both winning 6-0. In the meantime Megan Duckett and Charlotte Berrill were playing their doubles and had a convincing win 6-1.

The girls needed to win one of the last three sets for the win. Needless to say they took two out of the three sets to secure a convincing victory.

This is only the second year we have entered this competition, and the girls are all very excited and proud of their achievements to date. They now face the National Final at the Bolton Arena on 15 & 16 March.

Good luck girls!
