British Schools Karting Championship
Stoics have achieved success in the British Schools Karting Championship semi-finals with five of the eight teams recording faster times than the winners of the other semi-finals.
The B team have qualified for the Regional Final after coming second to Cooper School in Bicester. William Plant (Upper Sixth, Chatham) won the last race of the day and received maximum points securing their place in the Regional Finals ahead of the Royal Latin School.
Savannah Courtenay (Third Form, Lyttelton) won both her races and gave the A team every chance of getting through but two black flags for her team mates left the team with too much to do in the end and the A team finished a commendable fourth ahead of Cedars Upper School, Chiltern Way, Lord William's and Manshead Upper School.
The B team members - Will Plant (Captain), Augusto Bartolomé (Upper Sixth, Temple) and Ben Barrett (Fourth Form, Chatham) now go on to represent the School in the Regional Finals on Friday 19 April at Daytona MK.
