Daily Mail Cup success

A 19-13 victory for Stowe's Junior Colts A team against St Albans School in the Regional Final of the Daily Mail RBS U15 Cup on Thursday 19 January 2012 means that Stowe is through to the Quarter Finals.

Stowe dominated the first half of the game and led 19–3 at half time. In the second half, St Albans then came roaring back and dominated in all areas, but again Stowe showed great commitment and character to withstand the onslaught.

With 308 schools participating in the Daily Mail RBS Cup competition at the outset, Stowe is delighted to have reached the Quarter Final stage.

Alan Hughes, Head of Rugby at Stowe said: "The win against St Albans was a fantastic performance from the whole Stowe team.  For a co-educational school of our size to reach this stage of a National tournament is an exceptional achievement and I hope the whole school can acknowledge and appreciate what the boys havwe done."

The next round must be played before 2 February and we are eagerly awaiting the draw to see which of the most prestigious rugby schools in the country Stowe will face in the Quarter Finals.
