Polo Success

Stowe's Polo Club has enjoyed a superb early season with impressive wins against Radley, Rugby, Langley College and Wellington in the arena. With more players than ever before and regularly fielding six teams there is no other School in the country with such depth of talent. The U15 team of Henry Frisby (Third Form, Chatham), considered by our Professional Coach to be the best young player he has seen at Stowe, Wilf Fine (Third Form, Chatham) and Leo Detorri (Third Form, Chatham), were narrowly defeated on a technical penalty to come runners up in the National Cup whilst our powerful Intermediate teams are winning regularly with Alex Long (Upper Sixth, Walpole) central to their success.

At Senior Level we are fortunate to enjoy the talents of two 0 Goal players in Jamie Grayson (Fifth Form, Grafton) and Jasper Upton (Upper Sixth, Chatham) who are both augmented by their Captain, Tom Gordon-Colebrooke (Upper Sixth, Chandos). In a season where much is promised this has been an excellent start. The summer should prove both exciting and challenging with Stowe making a serious attempt at winning the National 4 Chukka League, the Single Chukka Cup and the Cheltenham Polo Day.
