Young, aspiring Prep School golfers will be taking on the stunning golf course at Stowe School on Thursday 26 August 2010, as they compete for the IAPS Stowe Putter and Junior Putter trophies. Now in its 43rd year, the Stowe Putter affords Prep School children the opportunity to test the game.

The first week of the Darren Gough Sports Academy has just finished and it has been a resounding success. 20 boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 15 have enjoyed a week of cricket and other sports.

1000 Runs in a Season
Alastair Birkby (Chandos lower sixth) and Ben Duckett (Grafton 4th form), during the last match of the summer, both went past a thousand runs for the season. It was a truly amazing achievement for both of them and as far as school records show a first.

The remarkable story of the Roxburgh Hall at Stowe continued on the last Friday of the summer term with an unforgettable concert by 60’s singer-songwriter Donovan and John Illsley (founding member of Dire Straits) and his band.
