Sailing
Sailing involves a large and enthusiastic band of both boys and girls in the Summer term. All ages can participate and we can include complete beginners too. Stowe has a fleet of six International 420 racing dinghies at Great Moor Sailing Club at Calvert, about 15 minutes from Stowe by minibus. We sometimes make use of Toppers and a Pico for training beginners and younger sailors on the Eleven Acre Lake at Stowe.
The Sailing Team competes against other schools and enters inter-school championships each year. In addition, there are internal school competitions, including House matches and individual trophies.
