Sailing involves a large and enthusiastic band of both boys and girls in the Summer term. All ages can participate and we can include complete beginners too. Stowe has a fleet of six International 420 racing dinghies at Great Moor Sailing Club at Calvert, about 15 minutes from Stowe by minibus. We sometimes make use of Toppers and a Pico for training beginners and younger sailors on the Eleven Acre Lake at Stowe.
The Sailing Team competes against other schools and enters Inter School championships each year. In addition, there are internal school competitions, including House matches and individual trophies.
