Golf

Having our own 9-hole golf course is a great advantage and a large number of pupils make full use of this facility on their doorstep. We also run a Senior and Junior team and have a full fixture list against other schools as well as indulging in a strong series of domestic individual and Inter House competitions.

The main events in the calendar are The Micklem Trophy and The HMC Foursomes, both tournaments in which Stowe has enjoyed considerable success historically, reaching the semi-finals of The Micklem Trophy in 2006 only to lose out to the eventual winners.

Golf instruction with a Professional is done at Buckingham Golf Club where the resident professional takes classes and individual lessons twice a week. Stowe also hosts the Swifts (a Public Schools' representative touring team from USA) every other year when they visit, latterly in June 2006.
