Catering

Catering services at Stowe are provided by our own, very experienced, 'in house' team. The menus are varied, nutritionally balanced & provide a wide choice at each meal to suit all tastes, using fresh ingredients wherever possible. Boarders are expected to attend all meals, served in the School Dining Room in the Mansion House. Additionally, bread, milk and fresh fruit is provided daily in the Boarding House kitchens.

School menus are rotated every four weeks and changed every term, after consultation with House Food Representatives and the School Catering Committee. A 'themed day' is also held once a month featuring dishes from around the globe. As well as vegetarians, many different dietary needs are catered for: low cholesterol, coeliacs, nut allergies, low salt, as well as cultural preferences.

The start of the Michaelmas Term 2008 saw the opening of the new and improved servery to Stoics. With easier flow, increased choice and quality of food, modern presentation and enhanced comfort in the dining rooms.

Visitors to meal times now have a brand new dining experience, with a vastly increased choice of food, free flowing queues and more space.  There are three hot choices, a soup cauldron, an extensive salad bar, a new pasta bar and both hot and cold desserts available.

The Catering Manager welcomes contact from parents who may have dietary concerns about their children, or who may wish to pass on comments regarding the catering services provided.
