International Student Society
Each year students arrive at Stowe from a wide variety of countries. They bring with them their own diverse culture and as individuals each one of them contributes in their own way to the vibrant community that is Stowe.
The purpose of the International Student Society is to give support to all those who find themselves far from home, to help them integrate into school life and get the best out of their time here. All are invited to an International Dinner once a year where all can get together in a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere and where the emphasis is on different cultures and foods. It is also hoped that it will be possible over the coming years to organize activities and music centred on cultural themes. Already groups are invited to take part in outings on specific days that are celebrated in their home countries and we hope to expand this even further as the school year evolves.
It is Stowe's aim that the international pupils are fully integrated throughout the School and enjoy the benefits of an English boarding school and the long-lasting friendships that are formed within the Stowe community.
