Geographical Society

This is a Sixth Form academic group that meets once a week. The Geographical Society has two main strands, the first being a discussion of various topical and relevant geographical issues, e.g. the impact of terrorist activities on tourism, a guide to the end of the world etc. It also tries to bridge the gap between School and University Geography by exploring some of the current advances in the subject, e.g. Iconography.

All Sixth Form geographers are invited to attend presentations given by external speakers as well as by staff and Stoics in the Geography Department.

The School is also an institutional member of the Royal Geographical Society - Institute of British Geographers.

Master in charge: Mr Matthew Perriss
