Classical Society
The Classical Society provides some excellent extra stimulation and challenges for both Latin and Greek students and those interested in Classical Civilisation. The Society visits professional theatres for productions of Greek tragedies and also invites distinguished outside speakers to talk on a wide range of fascinating subjects. Recent topics have included Homer's Odyssey, Virgil and the Aeneid, and the Spartans. In addition, Stoics are encouraged to make their own contributions. We have enjoyed superb visits to the most famous sites of classical Greece and Italy and hope to arrange another visit soon.
