Aerobics
The Aerobics activity led by Sandra Pratt has been enormously popular among the Sixth Form girls here at Stowe over the last 5 years. Aerobic activity involves an exercise routine that uses large muscle groups, is maintained for a sustained period of time and is rhythmic in nature. In the weekly sessions Sandra uses a mixture of stretch, tone and fat burning exercises and combines these into a fun routine which has enormous benefits in the day to day life of the Stoics. Regular aerobic exercise improves their level of fitness as the heart becomes stronger and begins to work more efficiently. It also helps with quality of sleep, the control and reduction of body fat and increases resistance to tiredness giving them more energy.
