Access For Visitors

At this point in time the State Library is closed to the public and will not be open until approximately summer 2010. Normal tours of the House will continue but will follow a slightly different route. Six state rooms, including the Marble Saloon, will continue to be on view. The tour will now take visitors to see Stowe School's Menagerie and Chapel. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

On the South Front of the House, the East Pavilion is covered by scaffolding and will be up for around a year until the restoration of that section in complete. Once it is finished, the scaffolding will be moved to the West Pavilion for restoration on that exterior section. This does not obstruct any routes for visitors, it merely blocks the view of one part of the House. In between phases, fundraising will continue for the restoration of the State Rooms.
