Stowe-House-Open-Art-Competition-2016-Anoushka-Bassi-from-Oakgrove-School

Statues, lions, temples, gardens and Stowe Houses galore!

We had a fantastic range of artwork submitted by Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students from Denbigh School and Oakgrove School in Milton Keynes for our Open Art Competition, with all entries and winning pieces proudly on display in the Blue Room here at Stowe House throghout the summer.

The exploration of different techniques to create amazing artwork and the many uses of colour and detail made the Stowe House Open Art Competition 2016 something truly special. From sequins and mosaic patterns to pencil sketches and paintings, the range and quality of the work submitted was fantastic and all of the students should be incredibly proud of all their hard work.

Three winners from each school were chosen for their imaginative artistic responses to what they had seen here at Stowe House. They had visited in early 2016 and took part in many different workshops and activities.

We would like to thank all the students for taking part in the Stowe House Open Art Competition 2016 and we hope they have all enjoyed seeing their work up on display here at Stowe House!
