The stunning setting, along with the tranquil location and the friendly atmosphere of Stowe make it the perfect location for your special wedding day. We offer both a wedding package, or we can specifically tailor our services to meet your individual tastes and demands. Your wedding day is as important to us as it is to you and at Stowe, you are assured the highest level of personal attention at all times, from the initial enquiry, to the delivery of your special day.

Your Civil Ceremony at Stowe House

Stowe has three beautiful rooms licensed for Civil Ceremonies:
The Music Room, exquisitely decorated by Valdre, is truly one of the jewels of Stowe's interiors. This room will seat up to 100 guests for a civil ceremony.
The Marble Saloon is a spectacular elliptical hall, inspired by the Pantheon in Rome. The Saloon doors can remain open throughout the ceremony, offering the view of the stunning Octagon Lake and Corinthian Arch as the backdrop to your ceremony. The Marble Saloon will seat up to 200 guests for a civil ceremony.
The Blue Room is the obvious choice for a smaller, intimate ceremony, seating up to 40 guests.

All of the rooms benefit from spectacular views across rolling Buckinghamshire parkland and the Octagon Lake.

Following the ceremony we are happy to provide a full wedding breakfast and evening reception or just a simple drinks and canape reception if you choose to have only your ceremony with us.

We can offer assistance and advice in all aspects of planning your civil ceremony, from the initial contact with the local registrars to the booking of live music and flowers.

Your Wedding Breakfast & Reception at Stowe House

The magnificent State Rooms of Stowe House provide an unbeatable venue for any reception. Up to 160 guests can be seated for a wedding breakfast with additional rooms available for dancing and evening entertainment.

We can help to chose the right combination of State rooms to hold your Wedding Breakfast, Reception and Evening Entertainment. The venue hire rate includes the use of three uniquely designed rooms and you will be able to see the spectacular setting of Stowe unravel around you on your special day from your ceremony and/or breakfast, flowing right through to your evening reception.

Most receptions begin with guests enjoying a welcoming drink, whilst you explore the grounds for the unlimited number of photographic opportunities available. Welcome drinks can be chosen from our selection of different packages, whilst guests take in the spectacular and breathtaking views of Stowe. Following on from your drinks, we can offer a selection of Fine Dining packages and menus to compliment all tastes, which can be organised to suit your specific requirements. Our specialist brigade of Chefs are happy to discuss any particular wishes you may have for your wedding meal. Dining guests can be seated in the State Dining Room, Marble Hall or Music Room. After your meal, one of your chosen rooms will be available for your evening entertainments and Bar. All of these rooms house the perfect interior to impress both your daytime and evening guests.

A selection of different buffet options are available for your evening reception. The provision of a fully licensed bar is included in the room hire cost.
