House Accessibility
For House visitors with access needs, there is limited parking in the Cricket Pavilion car park which is signposted as you drive in front of the House. It is possible to drop someone off at the bottom of the North Front steps (main entrance) and then park in the Cricket Pavilion car park.
The State Rooms are on the first floor (Piano Nobile) which is all on one level and is accessible by steps on the North and South Front. For those unable to use these steps, there is access through the Egyptian Entrance on the ground floor with a lift to take visitors to the first floor. Wheel chairs are avalaible upon request. There are public toilets available in the House including facilities for the disabled. If you know that you will be needing access from the ground to the first floor, it is helpful for us if you telephone in advance so that we can assist your visit.
