Supporting the School Old Stoic Bursary Awards These awards are intended to assist members whose children or grandchildren would not otherwise have the opportunity of a Stowe education.
Old Stoic Gap Year Awards Two awards are made annually to Stoics in the upper sixth form, each worth £1,500. Although there are only two beneficiaries, the award stimulates many others to take maximum advantage of their gap years.
Old Stoic Goblet A prize presented on Speech Day to the Stoic who, during the year, has made the most outstanding contribution to the School’s reputation.
Careers Old Stoics as individuals or in teams give interview training to all members of the Upper Sixth; participate in Lower Sixth careers’ conferences; provide work experience placements for Fifth Formers after GCSEs, and are on hand to give advice on almost any career area
Extra-curricular Activity Old Stoics are frequent speakers at meetings of Stowe’s numerous academic and debating Societies, Crossfire, Lenten Addresses and Confirmation retreats
Capital Projects Old Stoics have generously supported a succession of fundraising appeals which have helped to finance the construction of many vital new facilities at the School – academic, sporting and pastoral.
