The Column
Our newsletter is published twice annually in the spring and autumn, keeps Old Stoics regularly informed of Society and School news.



The Old Stoic Register
The OS Register was last published in 2001 and is an invaluable work of reference for both social and professional purposes. Its contents include geographical, professional and alphabetical cross references relating to the chronologically arranged records of over 10,000 Old Stoics. Members are encouraged to update their entries frequently either by letter, email, phone call or on the response sheet enclosed with every issue of The Column.



The Old Stoic Office
The OS Office at the School, equipped with the OS database, is run by the Old Stoic Manager and is the administrative hub of the Society. Members are invited to contact the office for information and advice, and to communicate news, views and suggestions whenever relevant.



Finances
The costs of promoting the Society's objectives are covered by life subscriptions and income from investments. Life subscriptions are paid in equal instalments in each of a Stoic's first three terms at Stowe, ensuring that when they leave the School they become fully paid-up members of the Society. No further subscription is payable thereafter.
