Hockey at Stowe is played in both the Autumn and Spring terms. The Autumn term is mainly the preserve of the Girls and the Yearlings. Stowe runs two Senior Girls sides and a Junior Girls side. There are also five Yearling sides, allowing for both an introduction to hockey and a performance level. A Senior Boys development side is available during the Autumn term which allows those boys who do not play rugby to work on their hockey skills. Hockey is the major Senior Boys sport in the Spring term and the School runs four teams comprising of Fifth and Sixth Formers. There are also three Junior Colts teams during the Autumn term. A Senior Girls side will be introduced during the Spring term. Recent hockey successes include the Yearlings side getting into the last eight in the National School Competition and the Senior Girls competing in the County finals.
