Having our own 9-hole golf course is a great advantage and a large number of pupils make full use of this facility on their doorstep. We also run a Senior and Junior team and have a full fixture list against other schools as well as indulging in a strong series of domestic individual and Inter-House competitions. The main events in the calendar are The Micklem Trophy and The HMC Foursomes, both tournaments in which Stowe has enjoyedconsiderable success historically, reaching the semi-finals of The Micklem Trophy in 2006 only to lose out to the eventual winners. Golf instruction with a Professional is done at Buckingham Golf Club where the resident professional takes classes and individual lessons twice a week. Stowe also hosts the Swifts (a Public Schools' representative touring team from USA) every other year when they visit, latterly in June 2006. Master in charge: Mr Richard Knight
