Association Football
Football is played by all age groups mainly as a recreational activity. The aim is for football to be enjoyed and for each pupil to improve their individual performance. Quite large numbers of Stoics participate in the sport on most afternoons of the week and in every term of the year. The School's 1st XI (and, occasionally, other teams) has fixtures, usually on a Sunday, against a range of opponents. Several Old Stoic teams return every year to play against the boys and we have matches against local schools and Buckingham University. Inter-House competitions are always very keenly fought and football is played with passion and enthusiasm.
