Launch of the Appeal 2008 We are delighted to announce the launch of our second annual Appeal for the Campaign for Stowe. This Appeal provides the opportunity for everyone to make a valuable contribution to supporting progress at Stowe - no matter what the size may be, every gift is important - whether it is for £10 or £10,000. The Appeal provides a varied menu of specific projects that you may choose to direct your support towards: Funding for Bursaries, the provision of New Sports Pitches, the restoration of the State Library, the provision of a Projector and Screen for the Roxburgh Hall, and the re-installation of the North Front Bells.
You can download a digital copy of the Appeal leaflet here. Leaflet final version std.pdf

Chris Atkinson is now in his 3rd and final year as President of the Old Stoic Society. He is an enthusiastic supporter of the School and its development plans, and a considerable supporter of the Campaign's efforts. To mark his final year as President, Chris has set himself the target of raising £300,000 towards the Campaign's goals, from those who have known him either from his days as a Stoic (he left Chatham in '59), a teacher, sports coach, Housemaster of Walpole, or Secretary of the Old Stoic Society. He would be delighted to hear from any member of the Stowe community who would like to support the President's Appeal, and promises warm acknowledgement! Please click here to make contact with Chris.

The Stowe Harvard Dinner - Friday June 6th The 17th annual Stowe Harvard Dinner will be held in the State Rooms at Stowe on Friday June 6th. The Dinner is organised in conjunction with American Friends of Stowe (see above). The occasion is an important celebration of the close relationship that exists between Stowe and Harvard, and in particular of the Stowe Harvard Fellowship. Through the Fellowship, every year a postgraduate of Harvard is selected to come to Stowe as a teacher, coach and counsellor. This year's Stowe Harvard Fellow is Samuel Halpert. As last year, we will be offering our guests and supporters an exciting programme of events around the Dinner. Formal invitaions will be sent out soon.
Roxburgh Society Lunch - Tuesday July 1st The Roxburgh Society (for those who have left, or intend to leave, a bequest to Stowe in their will) is pleased to announce the date for its 4th Annual Lunch, at Stowe on Tuesday July 1st. Formal invitations will be sent out later in the year.
