A Good Way to Make a Gift
We know that many people are constrained from giving as much as they would like by the numerous financial pressures that apply to many of us during most of our adult lives. Giving away capital during one's lifetime can be difficult and even ill-advised. Leaving a legacy can be an appropriate, and straightforward, solution.
As with other forms of charitable giving, leaving a legacy can be a very tax-efficient way of making a gift to Stowe. All bequests to Stowe School Foundation and Stowe House Preservation Trust are exempt from Inheritance Tax (40% at April 2006).
